Children’s Programs

Summer Break is finally here and it’s time for fun at the library!

Our Big Bang Bubble Show was a great way to kick off the Summer Reading Program with over 50 people in attendance!

Beginning the week of June 10th, we will have a weekly program at 10:30 am on Wednesdays for Pre-K through Kindergarten and on Thursdays for 1st – 5th Graders. Our theme is “A Universe of Stories” so we’ll be exploring astronauts and outer space through books, games, and activities.

Registration for Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop will remain open until Thursday, June 13th.  The program will be held Tuesday, July 2nd at 10:30 am. Participants will enjoy a story before constructing their own stuffed dog or bear.  Call the library at (815)738-2742 to register for this free program and to choose your furry friend. This activity is being held in memory of Carolyn Wagner.

Movie Madness will be  Mondays at 2:00 pm on June 24th, July 22nd, and August 19th

Lego Club meets on July 1st and August 5th at 2:00 pm.

The 4th Annual Splash Bash is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th at 10:30 am.
